Making a technical product clear.

Identity, web design, animation and technical writing for Reflectair and its URSA air-disinfection product.

Writing, design and production by Oliver Hildebrand

My work with Reflectair brought together the visual and written parts of a technical product launch: logos, custom icons, a colour palette and an ecommerce website, alongside an animated explainer and a practical user manual.

A shared visual language.

I created identities for Reflectair and its URSA product, with custom icons to communicate product features. The website carried that visual language into a shopping experience built with WordPress and WooCommerce.

Explaining how it works.

The explainer combines product renderings, original animation, stock imagery, text and graphics to introduce upper-room UV air disinfection.

From explanation to instruction.

Working with the product design and engineering team, I wrote, designed and laid out the user manual. The work involved researching applicable standards, anticipating user questions and organising technical information for installation, operation and maintenance.

“2 Hundy” TV campaign

Seven-frame storyboard for the 2 Hundy campaign.

30-second TVC featuring betcha brand ambassadors Carlos Ulberg and Navajo Stirling, promoting the 200% Deposit Match offer.

Brief

A late regulatory change and a narrow filming window with two rising Kiwi UFC contenders called for a bold campaign concept—one that showcased challenger brand betcha’s combat credentials while making its 200% deposit match offer impossible to miss. But with less than a week to lock down the concept before cameras rolled, every creative decision had to land.

Approach

Rather than another interview-style ambassador piece, I pitched several concepts ranging from safe to ambitious. The chosen combo of vernacular (“hundy”) and a playful one-upmanship dynamic proved both memorable and production-friendly.

Outcome

The campaign was well received in independent testing, clearly communicating the offer. The 2 Hundy platform continued into betcha’s Auckland FC campaign.
